Aero acquired Technometra Český Brod

Vodochody 11 March 2024 – AERO Vodochody AEROSPACE a.s. has acquired 100% of Technometra Český Brod a.s. Technometra is one of Aero’s major suppliers for the new L-39NG aircraft and also supplies and repairs aggregates for older aircraft manufactured by Aero.

The acquisition of Technometra Český Brod was completed on 7 March 2024, when Aero became a 100% shareholder of Technometra. Technometra has long been cooperating with Aero and is one of its main Czech suppliers. “The purchase of this strategic supplier is aimed at stabilizing and developing our supply chain. By acquiring Technometra, we will ensure the continuation of production, stabilization of finances and work for Technometra’s employees,” says Viktor Sotona, Chairman and CEO of Aero.

Aero has been actively involved in the management of Technometra since the beginning of this year. Jiří Linka, who previously held the position of Production Director at Aero, has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors as of 15 January 2024. Technometra supplies its products and services not only to Aero, but also to Aircraft Industries, Zlin Aircraft, Latecoere Czech Republic and others.

Technometra Český Brod is a Czech engineering company with production facilities located in Český Brod. Production focuses mainly on components for the aerospace industry, especially hydraulic and pneumatic devices, hydraulic filters, hydraulic piston pumps, gearboxes and axles. Currently, the company employs around 60 employees with many years of experience in the respective areas of production. Technometra also holds a number of certificates authorizing the company to design, manufacture and maintain aeronautical instruments in particular.

AERO Vodochody AEROSPACE a.s. focuses on the development, production, maintenance and modernization of civil and military aircraft and is the largest aircraft manufacturer in the Czech Republic and one of the oldest aircraft manufacturers in the world.
