The President of Armenia Visited AERO Vodochody

Vodochody, September 4, 2026 – AERO Vodochody AEROSPACE a.s. (AERO) today welcomed Vahagn Khachaturyan, President of the Republic of Armenia, as part of his official visit to the Czech Republic. His visit to AERO was part of a multi-day official trip to the Czech Republic, during which he also met with top Czech government officials.

During his tour of the production facility in Vodochody, the Armenian president familiarized himself with AERO’s current production program, its capabilities in the development, production, and support of military aircraft, and the tradition of the Czech aviation industry.

Special attention was given to the latest L-39 Skyfox aircraft, which represents a new generation of the successful L-39 family of trainer aircraft. The President of Armenia had the opportunity to examine the aircraft up close and learn about its use in modern military pilot training.

We greatly appreciate the visit of the President of the Republic of Armenia to AERO. Armenia is a long-standing user of the L-39 Albatros aircraft, and we are pleased that today we were able to showcase not only our company’s current capabilities but, above all, the latest generation of this successful family—the L-39 Skyfox. I believe that today’s meeting can serve as a further impetus for the development of our long-term relationship,” said Viktor Sotona, President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of AERO.
