AERO closes a record year. Profit before tax rose by more than 400%, EBITDA increased by 35%
Vodochody, June 8, 2026 AERO Vodochody AEROSPACE (AERO) achieved in 2025 the best financial results in its modern history. The company’s revenue increased by 8% year on year to nearly CZK 6.5 billion (approx. EUR 269 million). Profit before tax rose from CZK 102 million (approx. EUR 4.2 million), to a historic record of CZK 512 million (EUR 21.2 million), representing an increase of 402%. Adjusted EBITDA increased by CZK 291 million, (EUR 12 million), to a total of CZK 1.1 billion, approx. EUR 45.5 million, a year-on-year rise of 35%.
AERO has audited financial results for 2025, confirming the best financial performance in its modern history. “Year 2025 was an exceptional year for AERO. We achieved a record profit, more than doubled our operating result, EBITDA exceeded the CZK 1 billion mark, approximately EUR 41.4 million, and we delivered the highest number of Skyfox aircraft to customers in a single year in the history of the program,” says Viktor Sotona, President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of AERO. “Today, the company stands on strong foundations: its own aircraft with global export potential, a growing services business, and long-term programs for the world’s leading aircraft manufacturers,” he adds.
Skyfox: 58% of revenues and entry into new continents
The L-39 Skyfox program remained the company’s dominant segment in 2025. Program revenues reached CZK 3.8 billion (EUR 157.3 million), and accounted for 58% of AERO’s total revenues. During the year, the company completed and delivered a record 14 aircraft to customers.
“We are seeing strong interest from a number of countries, we are in final negotiations with several potential customers, and in the coming weeks we are preparing to announce new orders that will bring Skyfox to new continents,” adds Viktor Sotona. “In some regions, even deliveries in the lower single digits are of major strategic importance to us. Skyfox’s entry into the African and North American continents alone will significantly increase its visibility in these markets, attract the attention of additional potential customers, and open the way for future deliveries,” Sotona adds.
Today, Skyfox is among the most versatile aircraft in its category. In addition to the basic trainer version, the company has also introduced an armed version compatible with NATO standards, which premiered at Dubai Airshow 2025. The armed version of the L-39 Skyfox also responds to current security needs: thanks to its ability to carry modern weapons, it can also perform airspace protection missions, including deployment against unmanned aerial vehicles.

Aerostructures program: 24% growth and a stronger position in Europe
The second most important segment of the company in 2025 was the civil cooperation program Aerostructures. Its revenues increased by 24% year on year to CZK 1.7 billion (EUR 70.3 million). The segment is based primarily on programs for Embraer and Airbus, with AERO recording record production and delivery volumes in both cases.
Under the Airbus A220 program, AERO manufactured and delivered 100 wing leading edge assemblies and also advanced to the role of a Tier-1 partner, meaning a direct supplier. This represents a significant milestone in the company’s position within the global aerospace industry. Under the Embraer C-390 program, AERO delivered nearly seven complete shipsets of structural assemblies for this military transport aircraft.
“Civil programs are an increasingly important pillar of our business. Year-on-year growth of one quarter confirms the high level of trust that global manufacturers place in our capabilities, quality, and delivery reliability. Thanks to these programs, AERO is firmly establishing itself in both the European and global aerospace industry,” adds Viktor Sotona.

Military programs and aircraft operational support: revenues increased by 22%
The area of military programs, overhauls, modernization, and operational support also strengthened significantly. The MRO/FOSS segment generated revenues of CZK 1.062 billion (EUR 43.9 million), in 2025, representing year-on-year growth of 22%.
This segment mainly includes overhauls of L-39 and L-159 aircraft, airworthiness support, and maintenance services provided to customers in the Czech Republic and abroad. In 2025, AERO completed aircraft overhauls for the Bulgarian Air Force and, towards the end of the year, signed a multi-year contract with the Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic for overhauls of L-159 aircraft in the T1/T2 versions. The company also continued supporting Draken’s fleet.
“Overhauls, modernization, and operational support for our own aircraft are a strategic area for AERO. They show that we are not only a manufacturer of new aircraft, but also a long-term partner to our customers, capable of taking care of their equipment throughout its entire life cycle,” adds Viktor Sotona.
Three pillars of future growth
The results for 2025 show that AERO is built on three strong and mutually complementary pillars. Skyfox represents AERO’s own product with global export potential. MRO/FOSS brings long-term customer relationships, recurring orders, and a natural link to operators of legacy platforms. Aerostructures provide stability, growth, and a solid position in the supply chains of the world’s largest aircraft manufacturers, while also opening up opportunities for cooperation on other major projects in the aerospace industry.
“AERO today is not just a company with a single product. We have a very strong program built around our own aircraft, stable cooperation programs for global manufacturers, and a steadily growing area of aircraft repairs and modernizations. This combination gives us a strong foundation for further growth and confirms that AERO is back among the respected players in the global aerospace industry,” concludes Viktor Sotona.
