Aero has the "green light" to conduct training on the L-39NG

Vodochody, 30 January 2023 - Domestic aircraft manufacturer Aero is authorized to conduct training and instruction on military aircraft under new rules. The certificate issued by the Department of Military Aviation Supervision of the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic covers Albatros, Alca, and the new L-39NG aircraft.

The certificate confirms Aero as an organization and workplace approved to conduct education and training on military aviation equipment. "Aero can thus carry out teaching and training not only on the L-39 Albatros and L-159 aircraft but also on the new L-39NG trainer aircraft, which we have started serial production," says Pavel Tůma, Executive Vice President and Chief Program Officer of Aero.

The certificate issued was a continuation of Aero's previous authorization for teaching and training. The new activity included rules resulting from the European EMAR rules, which have been adopted into the national legislation of the Czech Republic. The Approved Training Organization, its instructors, and the Aero experts are hereby authorized to conduct type and instructor training and extension of other privileges on Aero aircraft.

The certificate is issued for the airspace of the Czech Republic and covers the use of the Vodochody Airport, which has been used for 70 years for the development and flying of aircraft by a traditional Czech manufacturer. Other airports and airspaces are subject to authorization by the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic. The certificate of competence for teaching and training on military aviation equipment is issued on the basis of meeting the requirements of the Act on the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic.
