Aero Vodochody Transformation continues
The new management team of Aero Vodochody successfully continues in the transformation of our company which should lead to the stabilization and further development of our legendary aircraft manufacturer. We are finalizing the new organizational structure of Aero, a new benefits’ system, wage increases and we are determined to gain new business strategy and manufacturing technologies for the company.
The CEO of the company, Viktor Sotona, presented a new organizational structure which is valid from February, 2022. It comes with more responsibility for lower management and more effectiveness of the key processes in the company. The new organizational structure describes the whole lifecycle of products and it is able to effectively react to customers’ needs not only in the area of Sales, Procurement or Maintenance, but also in the area of Engineering and Manufacturing.
As a part of these changes, the responsibility for individual sections of Aero is now being centralized for easier communication and improved company management. Not of lesser importance is the role of vice presidents who are now being responsible for the smooth running of the company. The last change regarding the organizational structure is the new vice president for Sales & Marketing – Filip Kulštrunk.
Wage increases & Benefit system
It is well known that employees are the key for the successful transformation of Aero. They are essential for running the company and Aero values their work greatly. That’s why we increase the wages in average by 17%. There is a new benefit system – “cafeteria” benefit card, which is supported by many companies and the bonus is 4% of employees wage each month. We have also managed to cut the work hours back to 7.5 hours as it was previously. We have also returned to functioning benefits such as personal development and enhanced education of our employees, which also previously existed in Aero. Our benefit system will be still under development, so please wait for more exclusive options.
Aero is still based on three important pillars – MRO, Proprietary products and Aerostructures. The first of them is our project of the training aircraft. L-39NG is currently being manufactured for our first customer and there are ongoing negotiations which will hopefully soon lead to the successful signature. The second pillar is MRO (Maintenance, Repairs, Overhaul). There are many general overhauls underway at the moment for foreign customers and the Czech Air Force. The integral part is the maintenance of the aircraft directly in customer’s country and training of pilots and ground personnel. The last, but not least, important pillar are the Aerostructures programs. Last year we have witnessed the increase of purchase orders for the fixed leading edge for Airbus A220. The C-390 program continues its production as well and Aero fulfills the role of one of the most important suppliers of Embraer with the following parts – rear fuselage, cargo ramp, fixed leading edge, doors, etc. We are successfully running the Airbus A320 program, which converts the passenger version to cargo version and we still continue in production of central wing box for C-27J Spartan.
