Aero employees will get a pay rise

Vodochody, 30 January 2023 - Aero has signed a collective agreement for 2023, which will result in a 5 percent pay rise for its employees from 1 April. In addition, it is increasing shift allowances and newly introducing a "Share of Success" financial reward for employees in Production, Quality, and Direct Purchasing for meeting the annual target. The collective agreement is effective from February 1st 2023 to January 31st 2024.

"I thank the union for the challenging but fair negotiations in negotiating the agreement. I am pleased that we have negotiated terms that I believe are motivating for our employees and will support our collective efforts to return Aero to the limelight. Our goal is also to continuously strengthen production to meet ever-increasing demand," said Viktor Sotona, Aero President and CEO, at the conclusion of the collective bargaining agreement.

On 24 January, the basic organization of the KOVO trade union AERO VODOCHODY AEROSPACE and AERO Vodochody AEROSPACE a.s. concluded a collective agreement. In it, they agreed, among other things, on a 5 percent wage increase from April 1, 2023. Aero employees will also see an increase in their second, third and twelve-hour shift bonuses.  A new "Share of Success" financial reward of CZK 35,000 has been set for employees in the production, quality, and direct purchasing departments for meeting the annual target. A special fund was created for the production and quality departments to reward a superior approach to work and a bonus of CZK 6,000 for training new employees. For example, the employer's meal allowance was also increased by CZK 25 per shift worked. 

Aero is a major employer, employing almost 1,600 people. It has hundreds more positions open for both professionals with know-how and workers from a wide range of trades. It also cooperates with a number of secondary schools and universities, providing practical and professional support, as well as providing cutting-edge employment in research and development. Production at Aero is at capacity until at least 2025, providing employees with stable jobs in the attractive field of aircraft manufacturing with a wide range of employment and training opportunities.
