Information on L-39 overhauls termination untrue

23/01/2009 | Information published today by the Czech daily E15, headlining "Aero Vodochody terminates L-39 overhauls", is untrue.

"If we made any decision in this sense, we would inform our current customers as well as media. We have recently sent out an offer for a further L-39 overhaul order to one of our customers and such unverified information may represent great complication to the deal," says Igor Hulak, president of Aero, adding that "Sale of course represents one of the possible versions of the L-39 project's future. If such situation occured, we will respect our existing obligation towards our customers."
