IAR Ghimbav privatization: AVAS ceased negotiations with Aero

18/12/2008 | The Romanian agency AVAS decided not to prolong the validity of the offer submitted by Aero Vodochody in the IAR Ghimbav privatization tender and thus ceased the negotiations with Aero.

"Our offer reflected the overall current situation of IAR Ghimbav and after supplementing our first offer, it was final. We are sorry that AVAS did not accept it because together with our business and investment plan it could have brought recovery and further development of the company. Nevertheless, our interest in doing business in Romania continues and if any other interesting opportunity in the aerospace industry arises, we will consider it carefully," said Igor Hulak, President of Aero Vodochody.
