Vodochody airport reopened night operation

On January 8, 2008 operation of the newly installed and certified lightning of the Vodochody Airport was opened. AERO Vodochody a.s., the owner of the Airport, received the approval of the lightning by Czech authorities on December 17, 2007 and just two days later, the Airport accepted its first “night” customer. A stationary lightning of the Vodochody Airport is said to have been in operation in 1987 for the last time.

Private equity group Penta, which has been the holder of 100 % of the shares of AERO Vodochody a.s. since last years January, shortly after its capital entrance announced its priorities for AERO, one of which is the development of the Vodochody Airport and change of its status from a private to a public international airport, mainly focused at low-cost and charter flights.
