
Col. Mikulenka: L-159 perfectly meets training demands
31/10/2007 | On October 31, 2007, Colonel Petr Mikulenka, Commander-in-Chief of the 21st Air Force Base in Caslav, has tested the capabilities of the L-159 aircraft in flight for the first time and assisted by Rostislav Stroin, AERO Test Pilot, checked the aircraft in the whole extent of its flight envelope.
On October 31, 2007, Colonel Petr Mikulenka, Commander-in-Chief of the 21st Air Force Base in Caslav, has tested the capabilities of the L-159 aircraft in flight for the first time and assisted by Rostislav Stroin, AERO Test Pilot, checked the aircraft in the whole extent of its flight envelope. “The L-159 aircraft perfectly meets demands on today’s training of pilots in a tactical air force. I am glad that the advanced training version of the L-159 aircraft will this year be put to operation in the Czech Air Force and thus the 212th Squadron of the 21st AFB will be fully equipped with the L-159 Combat & Training System. The more that under my command,” said Colonel Mikulenka after an almost one-hour flight.
