On October 31, 2007, Colonel Petr Mikulenka, Commander-in-Chief of the 21st Air Force Base in Caslav, has tested the capabilities of the L-159 aircraft in flight for the first time and assisted by Rostislav Stroin, AERO Test Pilot, checked the aircraft in the whole extent of its flight envelope.

On October 3, 2007, AERO Vodochody a.s. (AERO) and Latécoére Toulouse, France, signed a five-year contract on exclusive delivery of hinges and inner structure of doors for the regional transport jet aircraft Embraer 170 and Embraer 190 in a total volume of around CZK one billion (approx. € 36 million).

“The Czech Air Force L-159 aircraft fleet has reached its first 10.000 flight hours (FH). The ten thousand’s FH was preformed by the L-159 s/n 6064 piloted by Capt. David Reha on March 23, 2007 on the prestigious NATO Tactical Leadership Programme (TLP) in Florennes, Belgium.

March 8, 2007 at 2:44 PM, the first out of a total of four two-seat training L-159T1 aircraft for the Czech Air Force (CzAF) has taken off from the factory airport of AERO Vodochody a.s. (AERO) and made its maiden flight.
