Aero Vodochody at AirPower 2019
AERO Vodochody AEROSPACE a.s. participated in the largest air show in Austria, AirPower 2019, which took place on September 6-7 at the military air base in Zeltweg. Part of the presentation at the AERO Vodochody booth was the marketing simulator of the new L-39NG jet trainer. The simulator has attracted big attention of the visitors in the VIP zone, including representatives of official delegations.
“It was for the first time, we participated in AirPower. Our presence was very positively perceived by representatives of the Austrian government and the Austrian armed forces. Austria plans to purchase new aircraft for military pilots training in the coming years, with a Light Attack capability to combat ground targets and slow air targets, and the country has shown interest in the L-39NG aircraft. However, the future concept of pilot training and airspace defence in Austria have not yet been definitively decided, it is already clear that important will be versatility of offered solution and acquisition and operating costs. We believe that the L-39NG can provide the Austrian side a unique value-price ratio,” said Jan Drdák, Sales Director of Aero Vodochody.
During the two-day air show, Aero Vodochody booth hosted e.g. Minister of Defence Thomas Starlinger, Minister of Transport, Innovation and Technology Andreas Reichhardt, Chief of Defence Staff, Gen.Mjr. Robert Brieger, and National Armaments Director, Gen.Lt. Norbert Gehart.
